Christopher has been a licensed hair designer for over 23 years.  He got his start in Cherry Creek, an upscale area of Denver Colorado.  Working there opened many doors of opportunity for Christopher as he received countless hours of continuing education and advanced training in all aspects of the beauty industry.  He was extensively mentored by extremely talented hair designers early on, insuring quality work at all times. 

As a platform artist for various distributors, Christopher showcased his skills at numerous hair shows including: IBS (USA), ABA (Canada) and the illustrious World Hair Olympics (London, England).  In addition to this, he was an educator for the top shelf color lines GOLDWELL and MATRIX.  Also, Christopher was the National Director of Education for Lightworks International, a manufacturer of professional salon products. 

Christopher had his work published in Passion (an international trade magazine) and in August of 2006 Sophisticates Hairstyling Guide (an internationally circulated hair style magazine).  He not only styled some of the models himself, but he oversaw and directed a team of stylists whose work was also featured in the Sophisticates Hairstyling Guide publication. Christopher is currently the hair designer for Miss Yakima County 2008, Marcie Anglen, who took fourth runner-up in the Miss Washington Scholarship Pageant for Miss America.

In realizing the lack of availability for in-salon education, Christopher recently created Salon Executives Ltd .com, a network which fills a void in receiving in-salon education and allows established educators and emerging educators to give non-captive freelance education for salons, spas, etc. nationally and internationally. Salon Executives Ltd. was recently included in an article in Modern Salon Magazine (Nov 2008), the #1 beauty industry trade magazine and a press release in Behind the Chair the largest on-line network for beauty professionals.

Christopher fulfilled his dream of becoming a salon owner when he opened J. Christopher Salon~Spa on February 1st of 2003 with great success in Kennewick, Washington. He recently sold it to concentrate more on his personal artistic abilities, career aspirations and family.
